Time to Get Going!

Last years Sunday Kroger training rides proved to be a great tool for our cycling community...so by request......they're back!
I've had numerous request for the rides to begin sooner this year, so they will! Our first ride will be on Sunday, Oct. 19th.
Here's what you need to know at this point:

  • Rides always begin from the north end of the Kroger parking lot on Hwy 60 (Thompson Br. Rd.) near the mexican resteraunt.
  • Be ready to ride at 1pm...arrive early enough to get your clothing, equipment and nutritional needs taken care of before our 1pm departure.
  • Leave the egos at home...this is a base-training series of rides. These rides average 16-17mph at the most. This isn't a race training series...those are available elsewhere. As a rule, if you can't talk to the other riders with you then you're probably going too hard!
  • No drops on this ride...this doesn't mean that we will go 12mph all day in order to avoid leaving someone...it means that if you slip off the back of the group going up a hill we'll go easy at the top so you can get back on quickly.
  • On longer days, bring your $$...we do stop at stores when the rides exceeds 2 hours in length.
  • Please use good riding etiquette at all times...check HERE if you aren't sure what this means...others will expect it!
  • Ride routes are always pre-determined...Join our MapMyRide group in order to receive updates, maps and emails regarding the weekly ride...it's free.

Our first ride will be an easy 29mi route throug Murrayville and N. Hall...some of us will ride a little more after the group returns to Kroger to add to the mileage...all are welcome for this as well! Here's a map for the day, if you need to know where we will be going:
